Performance Reviews

Stainer’s Crucifixion – April 2017

In front of a large appreciative audience Monton Voices performed this moving piece. With it’s haunting melodies and lively interludes this piece tells the story of the crucifixion. Using only choir members we had five soloists who gave heartfelt performances and the choir sang beautifully to support them.

After the performance free refreshments were enjoyed by all.

Monton Voices Take Note Performances – June 2016

In June we performed at two different venues a musical program inspired by being in the choir.  Based on life in a choir and featuring some original pieces written and composed by our very own talented members, we sang to appreciative audiences at both venues. We sang of friendship, of tea breaks, of inspiration and just sang songs we love.

Afterwards, as ever, we entered the social aspect of our choir by going for a well earned drink of lemonade (or stronger!!) at the local drinking establishment of choice.

Our final rehearsal for this term is on Tuesday 12 July and we return on 12 Sept when we will begin preparing for our round of christmas concerts. We hope to see you at one of them.

Have a good summer everyone!!
